Delivery Point Validation and Lacs Link

Rescigno's Mailing Solutions now sends all mailing lists through Delivery Point Validation and LACSLink services.

Delivery Point Validation (DPV)

Previously, we could confirm that your addresses were in the proper range to exist.  With DPV, we can now confirm that an address actually exists.  We will send you back any addresses that were not DPV confirmed for you to follow up.  We WILL mail these pieces out.  As of August 1, 2007, these addresses are no longer able to go at automation rates, effectively costing 5 cents more per piece.  The DPV lists will have the following codes in the DPV_Status field:

LACSLink

LACSLink is another service from the post office that will tell you if somone's address has changed.  These are not people who have moved, but rather where the city has changed the name of their street or addressing system (usually due to the implementation of a 911 system).  Since August 1, 2007, the post office has required that all lists are run through these services in an effort to reduce the amount of Undeliverable as Addressed mail. When Rescigno's runs your list through these services, we will send you back a list of all people whose addresses were updated by the LACSLink system. These addresses MUST be updated in your mailing list to stay compliant with the Move Update Requirements mandated by the post office. LacsLink only goes back 12 months, so if you do not make the changes in your database, you will no longer be able to receive the update for free through LacsLink.
