Newsletter and Self-mailer Tips

Postage Rates:
Your lowest postage rate will be the Standard Mail Rate. Please click HERE to see the current rates. You will need a minimum of 200 pieces to mail at this rate.
Size:
You can mail a Newsletter or Self Mailer that is either a letter sized piece or a flat sized piece. Letter sized pieces will incur lower postage and processing costs.
Printing:
**Note: If you are having Rescigno's Mailing Solutions print your newsletter / self-mailer, you can skip the next section. If you are having an outside vendor print, please note:
- Return Address: You need to have your return address on your newsletter. Rescigno's can print this for you when we address the piece, but it is cheaper to have your printer print it with the rest of the card.
- Indicia: We recommend using the indicia for your newsletter / self-mailer. Again, by having your printer include this with the rest of the job, you will save money
- In order to save you the most in postage and processing fees, we recommend you use Rescigno's indicia, even if you have your own permit. Utilizing this permit allows us to take the mail to the South Suburban post office, which is a Sectional Center Facility and thus gets you more postage discounts. The indicia will differ based on your Non Profit status.
- The indicia will be the same regardless of the size of your piece.

- All indicias should be in an 8 to 10 pt font.
- Tabbing: If your newsletter / self-mailer is letter sized, it may require tabbing.
- Courtesy Reply Envelope: If you would like to insert a courtesy reply envelope into your mailing, please make sure you have your delivery point barcode and FIM marks. These are required to get you the lowest postage rates. For more information on the Courtesy Reply Envelopes, please click HERE.
- Count: We recommend ordering 10% over the count on your list. This will ensure that you have enough even if there is some spoilage during printing or during the processing at Rescigno's.
