Merge / purge / Remove duplicates
Having a clean mailing list is important. At Rescigno's Mailing Solutions, we understand that. Our advanced software and data professionals can help you remove unwanted duplicates from your list. We can compare your list by:
- Individual: Compares both first name and last name fields, plus address to find duplicates. Ex: Jim Smith and James Smith both at 1234 Main Street, SameCity, IL, would be recognized as a duplicate.
- Family: Compares last name and address fields to find a duplicate. Ex: John Smith and Jane Smith both at 1234 Main Street, SameCity, IL would be considered a duplicate. This setting is especially helpful for newsletters where you would only want one per household. We can also update these matches so they are addressed to "The Smith Family" for the addresses with multiple family members.
- Residential: Compares just addresses to find a match. John Smith and Jane Doe both at 1234 Main Street, SameCity, IL would be considered a match.
- Company: Compares Company Name and Addresses to find a match. Ex: Rescigno's Mailing Solutions and Rescigno's Mailing Sol., both at 7501 W 85th Street, Bridgeview, IL would be considered a match.
- Name Only: We can compare First and Last names without regard to the address to find matches. This is helpful if you have a list containing home and work addresses. This list of potential matches is always sent back to the client to verify which address should be kept.
- Custom: Have a special request? Contact Christy, our computer manager, to setup your own criteria.
Removing duplicates from your list will reduce the number of supplies you will need to have printed. Deduping by family name is a great option for newsletters to reduce the number of pieces you need printed.
