Envelope Tips
Postage Rates:
Your lowest postage rate will be the Standard Mail Rate. Please click HERE to see the current rates. You will need a minimum of 200 pieces to mail at this rate.
Size:
You can mail an envelope that is either a letter sized piece or a flat sized piece. Letter sized pieces will incur lower postage and processing costs.
Printing:
**Note: If you are having Rescigno's Mailing Solutions print your envelopes, you can skip the next section. If you are having an outside vendor print, please note:
- Return Address: You need to have your return address on your newsletter. Rescigno's can print this for you when we address the piece, but it is cheaper to have your printer print it with the rest of the envelope.
- Stamps: We recommend using a live stamp on all envelopes. Utilizing a stamp makes it more likely that your mail piece will be opened. You can use stamps even if you are mailing at standard mail rates.
- Count: We recommend ordering 10% over the count on your list. This will ensure that you have enough even if there is some spoilage during printing or during the processing at Rescigno's.
- Address Area: If your envelope is letter sized, click HERE.
If your envelope is flat sized, click HERE.
Not sure? Check out our sizing guide or contact us.
Storage:
Envelopes are often ordered in bulk to save money (which is a good thing). In order to keep your envelopes in tip-top condition, you should not store them in any damp or humid areas. Doing so could cause them to warp and the flaps to seal. Also, try to store them in their original containers whenever possible to keep them from getting damaged.
Get their Attention:
The envelope is the first thing about your mailing that people will see. Rescigno's can print a customized, personalized message on the outside of your envelope to grab their attention.
