Annual Appeal
This is an appeal self mailer. Although there are only 2 versions, donor and non donor, it utilizes the information about the person in several locations:
- On the inside, the top and middle panels use the person’ s salutation
- On the reply device – new donors will have their gifts tripled, previous donors will have the increased amount doubled.
- On the reply device, the ask amounts are customized, based on the previous donation (non donors all have the same ask amounts)
- On the reply device, previous donors are thanked for their last gift.
- On the reply device, the increased amount of the donation (after matching gifts are applied) is highlighted in red ink.
- On the outside, the top section is the mailing section and contains the person’s mailing address (removed here to protect identities)
- On the outside, middle panel, the salutation is again used.
- On the outside, reverse of the reply device, the salutation is used and the person is asked to “double” or “triple” their gift – based on previous gifts.
Annual Appeal
This mailpiece had several areas of customization:
- There were 2 versions of letterhead; alums and non alums (look at the reply device section and the website info at the bottom to see the differences, pages 1 and pages 6 have the differences)
- There were 4 different sets of ask amounts based on the person’s last gift.
- There were 11 different versions of the letter.
