Account Representative Job Description

The Account Representative will work directly with our clients, providing service and support. They will also be responsible for bringing in new sales by reaching out to internal prospects. Working in tandem with the VP of Business development and the Project Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive and profitable client relationships while expertly managing the needs of those clients.

You will be a member of an energetic, motivated team, handling the day-to-day implementation of your clients’ direct mail/development/fundraising projects. You will learn strategy and technique, negotiation skills, relationship building, and effective communication skills.

We are looking for individuals with a passion for creating a flawless service experience for clients. Knowledge of print, data, direct mail, USPS/Postal processing logistics are necessary and knowledge of fundraising and working with nonprofits is a plus.

Account Representative Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with estimates on prospective work. Inform and assist clients with their questions regarding our services and products as well as advise them of the most effective and economical way of producing their project.

  • Coordinate with outside resources to ensure that outsourced jobs are being processed properly and according to schedule.

  • Meet with prospects or clients when needed.

  • Compile and organize all quote/job specific data and information to relay to Project Manager.

  • Customer support: routine check-ins and engagement with new and existing clients to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Work within our internal database system (Midnight) to record communications with prospects or current clients.

  • Hit sales goals set forth by the leadership team by using our CRM and prospect database to find top prospects to engage with.

  • Effectively communicate—in a diplomatic and tactful manner—with clients, prospective clients, and team members about customer projects and timelines.

  • Complete special projects for VP of Business Development as assigned.

  • Attend, as requested, any extracurricular and or/industry relayed in-person or electronic events.

  • Collaborate with our team on ways to increase levels of customer service and improvements to client experiences.

  • Collaborate with leadership team on planning and strategies for marketing and sales.

  • Superior customer service skills with a focus on tact, mediation, and rapport building

  • Thorough computer skills, including Windows-based applications (MS Office Suite).

  • Strong attention to detail with superior organizational skills.

  • Strong people skills with the ability to work in a team environment and foster positive and collaborative work habits.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
